The Reflection In the Mirror

One Of The Most Important Things To Remember

Many Christians, especially "young ones in the faith" become overly exuberant, too zealous; and yes, too judgmental about issues. I have been guilty of this also. It's only natural to do this.

I would suggest it's once again time to remember that none on this Earth are "good" - NONE - No President, no blogger, no Priest, Minister, Pastor, Teacher, Pope - ANYONE!

So let's all try to remember; be kind and loving, patient; when dealing with our brothers and sisters.

Luke 18
10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican (a tax collector).
11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
15 And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them.
16 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
17 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God

The Little Lamb Begins To Exercise His Dragon Voice

Couple Ordered to Stop Holding Bible Study at Home Without Permit

FOX NEWS

Pastor David Jones and his wife Mary have been told that they cannot invite friends to their San Diego, Calif. home for a bible study — unless they are willing to pay tens of thousands of dollars to San Diego County.

"On Good Friday we had an employee from San Diego County come to our house, and inform us that the bible study that we were having was a religious assembly, and in violation of the code in the county." David Jones told FOX News.

"We told them this is not really a religious assembly — this is just a bible study with friends. We have a meal, we pray, that was all," Jones said.

A few days later, the couple received a written warning that cited "unlawful use of land," ordering them to either "stop religious assembly or apply for a major use permit," the couple's attorney Dean Broyles told San Diego news station 10News.

But the major use permit could cost the Jones' thousands of dollars just to have a few friends over.

For David and Mary Jones, it's about more than a question of money.

"The government may not prohibit the free exercise of religion," Broyles told FOX News. "I believe that our Founding Fathers would roll over in their grave if they saw that here in the year 2009, a pastor and his wife are being told that they cannot hold a simple bible study in their own home."

"The implications are great because it’s not only us that’s involved," Mary Jones said. "There are thousands and thousands of bible studies that are held all across the country. What we’re interested in is setting a precedent here — before it goes any further — and that we have it settled for the future."

The couple is planning to dispute the county's order this week.

If San Diego County refuses to allow the pastor and his wife to continue gathering without acquiring a permit, they will consider a lawsuit in federal court.

Oh Hell ! - Let's Talk About It

Do You Believe In Hell?

Do You Believe A Loving God Burns People Forever Because of Their Sin In Life?

Do You Believe Satan Will Be Placed In Charge of A Burning Abyss Forever?

Do You Believe Hades and Hell Are the Same?

Do You Believe Your Dead Lost Loved Ones Are Suffering Right Now - In Hell ?!?

Let's see what the Bible Says, not man's traditions

2 Peter 2:9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished ...

Are the "lost dead" being punished in hell now? No, they are in reserve for the day of judgment. The following verses refer to the 2nd Coming:

John 5

28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,

29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. (the punishment of Hell or the reward of Heaven)

Is there a place of burning for lost souls (people)?

Yes, it's at the end of all things. It's called the Lake of Fire and Furnace of Fire.

Matthew 13

40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Revelation 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Revelation 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (The Hebrew and Greek translations make it clear that the "for ever and ever" reference means, "until consumed, burnt up completely")

Ezekiel 28:18 “ You defiled your sanctuaries By the multitude of your iniquities, By the iniquity of your trading; Therefore I brought fire from your midst; It devoured you, And I turned you to ashes upon the earth In the sight of all who saw you. 19 All who knew you among the peoples are astonished at you; You have become a horror, And shall be no more forever.” (this Ezekiel reference is pointed to the Devil)

BTW, these "punishment" references point to a time at the END of the MILLENNIUM (the thousand years of peace).

Now comes a very important bit of knowledge, completely ignored by most Churches. Does God allow people (the wicked) to burn forever in this "end of all things" fire? We must look it up!

Firstly, only God has immortality (1 Tim 6:16). Immortality for humans is a gift from God to the good (1 Corinthians 15:54) - death is swallowed up in victory.

And the wicked?

Why ... They are obliterated, utterly consumed!

Romans 6:23, Job 21:30, Psalm 37:20, Malachi 4:1,3; Psalm 37:38, Psalm 37:20, Psalm 37:9, Psalm 62:3, Psalm 145:20, and Psalm 21:9, Matthew 13:40-42, Rev. 20:9, Proverbs 11:31, 2 Peter 3:10, Rev. 22:12, Matthew 16:27, Luke 12:47,48; Rev. 21:1,4; Isaiah 47:14, Rev. 22:12, Matthew 16:27, Luke 12:47,48 - there's more!

A timeline will help clarify these events:

1) YOU ARE HERE (We're in the year 2009 AD)

2) EARTH'S LAST CRISIS - Luke 21:35; Rev. 3:10. No one knows when it will come, yet it will hit at an unexpected time, like September 11. This crisis could stem from many causes - economic, natural (such as a huge earthquake, etc.), or possibly, a terrorist attack.

3) THE MARK OF THE BEAST IS ENFORCED BY LAW - Rev. 13:16,17 The "mark of the beast" will be enforced by governments around the world as a supposed "solution" to a global, desperate crisis. The majority of Earth's inhabitants will not realize this is "the mark," for they will be deceived. Rev. 19:20. The terms "beast" and "mark" are code words in the book of Revelation that God's people alone will understand. They will know who the "beast" is, and what his "mark" is, while the rest of the world has no clue.

4) THE THREE ANGELS MESSAGES ARE HEARD WORLDWIDE - Rev. 14:6-12 Before anyone receives "the mark," God will send a special, final message to warn and enlighten a world filled with people He loves and earnestly wants to save. This special message is the message of "The Three Angels." These angels represent human beings who understand and communicate this exact message with "a loud voice" to "every nation, tribe, tongue, and people" (Rev. 14:6,7). The message is given before the return of Jesus Christ (Rev. 14:14-16).

5) THE FINAL CHOICE - THE SEAL OR THE MARK? - Rev. 7:1-3; 13:16-14:1. During Earth's last crisis, every living human being will make a final choice - choosing the side of Jesus Christ and the truth (receiving the "seal of God") or the side of Satan and the "beast" (receiving his "mark"). Humanity will be divided into two great, final classes.

6) THE CLOSING OF HEAVEN'S DOOR OF SALVATION - Rev. 22:11 After everyone has had a chance to make an enlightened, intelligent decision, then the "door of mercy" will close forever, just like the door closed to Noah's ark before the flood (see Genesis 7:16). Every human being will either be "righteous" and "holy," or "filthy" and "unjust" (Rev. 22:11). There will be no more changing sides.

7) THE SEVEN LAST PLAGUES FALL - Rev. 16; 14:9-12 The seven last plagues are God's final judgments upon a world that has rejected His love, the cross of Jesus Christ, the worship of the Creator and full authority of the Ten Commandments (14:7, 12).

These plagues fall only upon those who have chosen "the beast" and received its "mark" (Rev. 16:1,2). This time period is also called the "time of trouble" (Daniel 12:1). During this awesome period, God's people will be fully protected, just like the Israelites were during the falling of the ten plagues in Egypt (see Exodus 7-12; Psalm 91). At the end of this period, God's faithful ones will be "delivered" (Daniel 12:1).

8) THE BATTLE OF ARMAGEDDON - Rev. 16:14-16 This is the final "battle of that great day of God Almighty." Jesus Christ returns as "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS" (Rev. 19:11-16) to defeat the global forces of Satan, sin and Babylon (Rev. 16:19) and to deliver His blood-bought, obedient people.

9) THE SECOND COMING OF JESUS CHRIST - Mat. 24:30,31; 1 Thess. 4:16,17 Jesus Christ will return visibly, "with power and great glory," with "a great sound of a trumpet," accompanied by billions of shiny, holy angels. He will resurrect "the dead in Christ" (this is the First Resurrection) and "catch up" His living saints into the air. "Sudden destruction" falls upon the lost who have survived the seven plagues (1 Thess. 4:16-5:3).

10) 1000 YEARS, THE SECOND RESURRECTION, THE FINAL JUDGMENT, THE LAKE OF FIRE AND THE NEW EARTH - Rev. 20:1-15; 21:1 After the return of Jesus Christ comes the 1000 years (Rev. 20). At the end of this period comes the second resurrection of "the rest of the dead" who did not participate in the first resurrection (see Rev. 20:5a; 12,13), the final judgment, "the lake of fire" (Rev. 20:14,15) and then the creation of a new heaven and earth (Rev. 21:1).

In God's New Earth, there will be "no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said to me, Write: for these words are true and faithful (Rev. 21:4,5). Sin will be gone, and God's love will reign forever!

... Once again, I find myself at a loss attempting to cover all the bases. I have left out so much. The Bible also speaks of "unquenchable fire", "everlasting punishment", etc. But, these terms indicate a punishment that is everlasting (cannot be reversed); a fire of GOD that no one can quench, except God. Notice there is no 7 year tribulation or secret rapture - these are man made myths (yet another blog entry needed). I very much recommend the Amazing facts Bible Study!

Of Interest:
The word "Hell" is used 54 times in the Bible. In only 12 cases does it refer to a place of burning.
In the Old Testament: 31 times, derived from the word "Sheol", which means "the grave".
In the New Testament: 10 times as "Hades", which means "the grave";
12 times as "Gehenna", which means "place of burning";
and 1 time as "Tartarus", which means "a place of darkness".

What Happens When You Die? - What Does Scripture Say?

Benjamin Franklin said two things are certain in life:
Death and Taxes! All of us know Uncle Sam has become the most grievous and money grubbing uncle none would hope for! The other certainty; death, comes along sooner or later, expected or unexpected.

People believe many disparate things about the afterlife. Some say we immediately go to heaven or hell, others need additional time to "work things out" so they go to purgatory or get stuck somehow in limbo. Some say we reincarnate and start life over, others say we wander around as lost spirits trying to find our way to the "light". The living may initiate a seance to communicate with a dead relative asking how things are "beyond the veil"!

Did you know (and this will surprise some Christians) the Bible doesn't speak of any of these things concerning the afterlife!?! All of the aforementioned ideas are pagan in nature, born out of desperation to know what happens when we die. When the Bible does mention these things it speaks of the above ideas as false ideas.

So ... from the biblical perspective; let's talk about how we got here, what the definition of a "soul" is, and the reasons why one shouldn't want to talk with dead.

Gen. 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

... man is made up of two parts; dust from the ground and the breath of God.

When a person dies;

Ecclesiastes 12:7 Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, And the spirit will return to God who gave it.

... the body returns to dust and the "spirit" returns to God.

What is this "spirit?

James 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Job 27:3 All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils;

Nowhere in the Bible does it say this spirit has feelings, wisdom, or life after a person dies. Taken in correct context, this "spirit" is the "breath of life" - nothing more.

What about the "soul"?

Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

... the two combine; the dust and the breath of God to form a living soul, a person. We, who are alive, are all living souls - people! In fact, when you search and read about souls in the Bible it's always talking about people! - "so many" souls died, "this number" of souls entered the ark and survived, etc ... people!

OK, then what happens to "souls" when we die?

Ezekiel 18:20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

John 28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
John 29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

Ecclesiastes 5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.
Ecclesiastes 6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.
... Ecclesiastes 10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

Psalm 115:17 The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence.

... it's quite evident we're dead!

But what about contacting a dead person somehow?

Job 14:12 So man lies down and does not rise. Till the heavens are no more, They will not awake Nor be roused from their sleep. (this "sleep" is referring to death, in context)

The dead are dead; the breath of God has returned to God. The concept of an immortal soul is a pagan myth. Only God can give you life. Only God can resurrect you at the Second Coming, otherwise you are believing the lie of Satan.

But what about Lazarus?

Which Lazarus? The one in the parable or Jesus' friend?

The Parable is in the book of Luke

Luke 16:20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,

A Parable is a story, a story intended to teach a lesson. A better question concerns Jesus' friend Lazarus.

John 11:1 Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.

Lazarus was actually dead and then raised by Jesus!

Question: Now, was Lazarus in heaven or hell while waiting for Jesus to return to Bethany? Why, neither of course. He was dead, knowing nothing.

Another good question: Who are you really talking to when you try to talk with the dead?

Here's a sobering thought. When Lucifer and his Angels lost the battle in heaven where we're they "confined" to?

Why ... Earth of course!

3 Different Ways of Looking At Biblical Prophecy - Which One Is Correct?

Preterism, Historicism, Futurism Explained

by Steve Wohlberg

Many Christians don't know this, but there are really three major "prophetic schools" of interpretation now in conflict - Preterism, Historicism, and Futurism. Each of these schools view the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation differently. This Prophetic Perspectives series will simplify and clarify the issues.

One of the most well-respected Bible Commentators in the history of Christianity was England's well-beloved, E.B. Elliott. In 1862, the 5th edition of his classic four-volume Horae Apocalypticae - A Commentary on the Apocalypse, was published in London. The great Baptist preacher Charles Spurgeon, in his Comments on the Commentaries, considered Elliott's work "the standard."

Volume 4 contains a well-written, thorough, and extremely valuable overview of every major Apocalyptic commentator in the history of Christianity - from the days of John to the mid 1800's - called History of Apocalyptic Interpretation. As a result of his vast research and tremendous historical perspective, Elliott clearly reveals the three major contending schools of prophetic interpretation.

"For, in conclusion, the readers of this Historic Sketch will see that there are but three grand Schemes of Apocalyptic Interpretation that can be considered as standing up face to face against each other... The 1st is that of the Praeterists; respecting the subject of prophecy, except in its two or three last chapters [of Revelation], to the catastrophes of the Jewish nation and old Roman Empire ... which Scheme, originally propounded, as we saw, by the Jesuit Alcasar, and then adopted by Grotius ... by Professor Moses Stuart in the United States of America, and by disciples in the German School in England ...

"The 2nd is the Futurist Scheme; making the whole of the Apocalyptic Prophecy, (excepting perhaps the primary Vision and Letters to the Seven Churches,) to relate to things now future, viz. the things concerning Christ's second Advent: a Scheme first set forth, [as] we saw, by the Jesuit [Francisco] Ribera, at the end of the 16th century; and which in its main principle has been urged alike by Dr. S.R. Maitland, Mr. Burgh, the Oxford Tractator on Antichrist, and others, in our own times and era, not without considerable success ...

"The 3rd is what we may call emphatically the Protestant continuous Historic Scheme of Interpretation; that which regards the Apocalypse as a prefiguration in detail of the chief events affecting the Church and Christendom, whether secular or ecclesiastical, from St. John's time to the consummation: - a Scheme which, in regard of its particular application of the symbols of Babylon and the Beast to Papal Rome and Popedom, was early embraced, as we saw, by the Waldenses, Wickliffites, and Hussites; then adopted with fuller light by the chief [Protestant] reformers, German, Swiss, French and English, of the 16th century; and transmitted downwards uninterruptedly, even to the present time.

"It is the last of which [the Protestant Historicist School] which I embrace for my own part with a full and ever strengthening conviction of its truth." Horae, Vol. 4, pps. 562, 563.

Thus Elliott identifies: 1) The Preterist School which sees most of the prophecies being fulfilled in the past in the events surrounding the destruction of Jerusalem and the pagan Roman Empire; 2) The Futurist School which sees most of the prophecies in Revelation - from chapter 4 onward - as applying to events yet future; and 3) The Historicist School which sees the book of Revelation as largely predictive of actual events to occur throughout the history of Christianity from the time of John until the return of Jesus Christ.

The Historicist School contained the viewpoint of almost all Protestant Reformers from the Reformation into the 19th century. Elliot also shows clearly through historical research that both the Preterist and Futurist schools were definitely put forth by Jesuit scholars in their earnest attempts to divert the unanimous Protestant application of Daniel's "little horn" prophecy and Revelation's "beast" prediction to the rise and work of Papal Rome.

... which one do you believe? I am most definitely a Historicist!

Why The Vatican Is Silent Concerning Obama's Notre Dame Speech

The Catholic Church's response to President Obama's Notre Dame speech has been mixed at best. Some Catholic officials have spoken out against it including Catholic notable Alan Keyes and Cardinal Francis George, president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), himself saying, "It is clear that Notre Dame didn't understand what it means to be Catholic when they issued this invitation".

If you've been living on mars instead of earth you may not know that President Obama is 100 % + FOR abortion. Notre Dame University, being a Catholic institution, has opened up a humongous can of worms by inviting such as person to speak. Some have even suggested that Notre Dame be stricken from the official listing of Catholic universities.

The official Vatican response to all this has, in no uncertain terms, been DEAFENING SILENCE! Why? ...

Those of you who know me understand I'm a Protestant Reformation guy, steeped in the school of historicism. It is no surprise to me that the Vatican hasn't responded to this situation because, simply put; the false church lead by the beast dragon must remain friendly with the small lamb that speaks with the voice of a dragon. Here is the biblical reference:

Rev 13

10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. (a beast coming up out of the earth. Did you remember that the first beast came up out of the sea? The sea in biblical prophecy means; multitudes of people, namely Europe. The "Papacy was/is the first beast. The second beast comes from the earth; meaning a wilderness place. It is like a lamb (lower case "l"). A lamb has attributes of The Lamb (Christ). It has as a characteristic like unto Christ, Liberty. The "little" lamb has two horns. Notice the two horns on a lamb are separated, apart from each other and the horns have no crowns. Crowns are illustrated elsewhere in prophecy and they denote kingly power. There has been only one nation in history that has separated it's powers, come out of the wilderness of the North American continent and has no King! - The United States of America!) Now, you patriots out there relax. I love the good 'ol U.S. of A.! It is still the best country on Earth!

12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

Some of you may not know that Newt Gingrich, Jeb Bush, and Tony Blair have all made very public conversions to Catholicism. Blair is operating an educational/activist organization to increase ecumenical agreement between Catholics, Protestants, and all other religions - a "one-world religion" effort. Did you also know that George W. Bush came very close to converting to Catholicism while in office?

More to the point; did you know that the Bush white house was the first to officially call and document the Pope as, "The Holy Father"? So much for separation of church and state, huh?
And, so much for calling no man "Father"! If this action alone does not cement support, by the U.S.A., of a world-wide religious effort, nothing does!

BTW, how do we know the beast's head was healed? In 1789, 1260 years after the prophetic prediction from Daniel, Napoleon's general, Berthier entered Rome and physically removed and effectively ended the Papacy! The Papacy had received it's "deadly wound"!

A few years later, Napoleon, after being told he might actually bring on the Second Coming because of his actions against the Pope, reinstated the Papacy. The "wound" had been healed!

So ... you see? The little lamb and the Beast will remain friends - until the bloody end.

Sabbath Addendum On; Sunday, The Pagan Day Of Worship

FYC - For Your Consideration

Rev 12:17

And the dragon (the Devil, the AntiChrist, the Beast) was wroth with the woman (the original Christian Church), and went to make war with the remnant of her seed (the Remnant Church), which keep the commandments of God (yes, all 10), and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Rev 14: 9

And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, (the last and final warning - all alive at the time will know it's a choice between God and Satan. The "mark" will be obedience to laws initiated by the false church and secular authority, worldwide. These "laws" will contradict the "Big 10"!)

10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture (undiluted, full strength) into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever (this does not mean they are tormented forever) : and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Rev 22

Blessed are they that do his commandments (yes, all 10), that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

... folks, this is just a short smattering of texts within the New Testament that reinforce and restate the importance of ALL 10 Commandments to the Christian. These are especially poignant because they speak of the end times. All of us who were raised to attend church on Sunday are under "probation", none on earth have the "mark" yet. But we must consider now, while we still have time, if we should not change our behaviour. Don't believe Tiger, a sinner like you, but believe the Word of God!

Rabbi to Pope: Go Split Rome

In Due Time Rabbi, In Due Time!
JERUSALEM – If Pope Benedict XVI so fervently supports a Palestinian state – which would split sections of Israel – he also should divide Rome, charged the leader of a coalition of more than 350 Israeli rabbinic leaders and pulpit rabbis.

"I was shocked to hear that the first thing the pope had to say when he landed in Israel was that the Holy Land must be divided to make room for a Palestinian state," said Joseph Gerlitzky, rabbi of central Tel Aviv and chairman of the Rabbinical Congress for Peace, which includes some of Israel's most prominent Jewish leaders.

"I suggest that he divide Rome. The Holy Land was promised to the Jewish people and absolutely no human being on this earth has a right to relinquish even one inch of this land," Gerlitzky stated.

Gerlitzky made the remarks at a speech today commemorating the Jewish festive day of Lag Ba'Omer, which is about the mid-way point between Passover and the day on which the Jews were said to have received the Torah.

... I'm sure the Rabbi knows his history and his Bible. The Church of Rome; described in the Bible as the institution that arises out of the Roman Empire, the little horn arising from the 10, with "eyes like those of a man", called Antichrist, and in Revelation called the Beast; the false church described as a whore dressed in purple and scarlet riding the Beast, has been split already! (go to a Bible search site and query on the color scarlet in the New Testament. It 's not meant to be something good!)

The Great Schism occurred in 1054 and split the "church" into Eastern and Western sides. And of course, who can forget the Protestant Reformation (1517)! The Reformation fathers understood the biblical language that attributed the persecution of the Saints to the "Mother" church, the "whore" drunken with the blood of the Saints.

Revelation states that they, the ten horns - the countries of Europe, shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. In other words, they'll turn their back on her. But, before all that happens she will act to save herself. She will work (and has worked) with the little lamb with a voice like a dragon who will support her. She will try to institute something worldwide. You already know what it is. The whole world will know and have to choose. (more on the "lamb" later)

Don't worry Rabbi. She has been split and will be split further.

... and folks, btw, these teachings apply to a system; the Papacy - not to people! So don't make a comment saying I hate Catholics. My wife was born and raised Catholic, I got married in a Catholic Church by a priest for heaven's sake! I've been married to that fine Catholic girl for 29 years. The Remnant Church will have Catholics in it, as well as folks from all the denominations and from other religions! Here's a great book for reference. I recommend you read it.

The Pagan Myth of the Immortal Soul

Doesn't the Bible speak of the "undying," "immortal" soul?

No, the undying, immortal soul is not mentioned in the Bible. The word "immortal" is found only once in the Bible, and it is in reference to God (1 Timothy 1:17). (more on this later)

What was Eve told in the garden and how did the serpent (Lucifer) answer?

Gen 3:3-5

3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: (the original lie of immortality and the decision to obey Lucifer and not God))

5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

The Bible uses the word “immortality” only five times, and the word “immortal” only once. In this lone instance the term is applied to God. “Eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God.”

The five references that contain the word “immortality” are as follows:

Romans 2:7. In this text the Christian is exhorted to “seek” for immortality. Why should he seek for it if he already possesses it? In this same book of Romans, Paul quotes the prophet Elijah as saying of his enemies, “They seek my life.” We understand from this that the prophet’s enemies did not yet have his life in their hands. Therefore, when we are exhorted to seek for immortality, for a life that knows no end, we must conclude that we do not now possess such a life.

2 Timothy 1:10. Here we learn that Christ “brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.” The only deduction from this is that so far from immortality’s being a natural possession of all men, it is one of the good things made possible through the gospel. Paul wrote, “The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ.” Rom. 6:23. Why would we need this gift if we already had undying souls?

1 Corinthians 15:53. This passage tells when we shall receive immortality. The time is “at the last trump.” Then “this mortal must put on immortality.” Why should the apostle Paul speak of our putting on immortality at a future date if we already possess it?

1 Corinthians 15:54. This verse simply adds the thought that when “this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.”

1 Timothy 6:16. Here we learn that God “only hath immortality.” This final text settles the matter as conclusively as words could possibly do, and explains fully why we are exhorted to “seek” immortality, and why we are told that immortality is something that is to be “put on” “at the last trump.”

Not only do we learn from these texts that we do not have immortality, but also we are told that God alone has it.

... folks, for some people it may not be comforting to know that when Mom or Grandma die they simply decay, in the ground, "asleep in Christ", waiting for the 2nd Coming, to "put on immortality"; however, that is biblical teaching! It makes no difference, BTW, if you bury or cremate, or are lost at sea; God is quite capable of reconstructing you.

Our comfort is in Christ and our belief in Him, and in the coming day when we meet Him!

But Tiger, I've talked to my deceased mom through a psychic medium! She tells me everything's beautiful in heaven!

Ahh! We'll talk about that later! - Tiger

Sunday - The Pagan Day of Worship

Pope Benedict is committed to reinstating the active observance of the Roman Catholic Church’s chief icon: Sunday. He knows that to popularize religion in Europe, he has to reintroduce a means of promoting what marketers call brand loyalty. The most historic brand the pope can offer to bond the people together is the ancient day of worship, fashionable since Babylon, the old day of the sun—Sunday. Hence his promotion of that old Roman brand in his recent addresses.

November 2005

In August, Pope Benedict xvi made Germany the destination of his first trip abroad. On Sunday, August 21, as part of the World Youth Day celebration, the pontiff conducted a mass with over 1 million people where he stressed the importance of Sunday worship: “Sunday is a free day ….

Yet this free time is empty if God is not present,” he said. “Sometimes our initial impression is that having to include time for mass on a Sunday is rather inconvenient. But if you make the effort, you will realize that this is what gives a proper focus to your free time” (International Herald Tribune, August 22).

These comments came just a few months after similar statements at a mass celebrating the closing of the 24th National Eucharistic Congress on May 29. In front of 200,000 in the Italian city of Bari, Benedict declared that the reinforcement of Sunday worship is fundamental to his mission.

To students of history, this focus represents a return to the papacies of old, the papacies of that ever-recurring imperial European power, the Holy Roman Empire.

Pope Benedict perceives the secularist moral vacuum that has plagued Europe since the time of the Enlightenment. Now, after resounding rejections of the European Constitution by both France and the Netherlands in referenda earlier this year, European unification appears to be in disarray.

But it seems Benedict wants to fill that vacuum—the old Roman way. That way was never sympathetic to the idea of the public voluntarily accepting its tenets. Rather, as even a cursory study of history will reveal, it was imposed by force.

This pope’s dream coincides with that of his predecessor, John Paul II. It is a huge vision—a vision of a Europe united from the North Sea in the west to the Ural Mountains in the east.

But here is the trouble: The only times throughout history this vision has been fully realized is when Rome imposed its religion. Since Charlemagne’s “conversion” in the eighth century, the Roman Empire, with its common religious ideology, was able to hang together in repeated resurrections and wreak havoc on those who resisted it.

As Texas-based think tank Stratfor said, “Europe, for geopolitical reasons, cannot be unified except beneath the heel of a conqueror” (June 2).

If we understand how the church has enforced this day in its past history, we should be very alarmed.

Who Changed the Sabbath?

The Bible commands worship on a seventh-day Sabbath. Who changed the Sabbath to the first day of the week?

Here is what Herbert W. Armstrong wrote on this subject: “Where did Sunday originate? Not with the Roman Catholic Church, but with the pagan religion of the Roman Empire, long before there was any Catholic Church! It is the day on which the ancient pagans assembled at sunrise, faced the east (as they do Easter Sunday morning today), and worshiped the rising sun.

It was Constantine, emperor of the Roman Empire, not a pope, who made Sunday the official so-called ‘Christian day of rest.’ But it was enforced—people were caused to accept it universally—by the Roman Catholic Church!” History proves Mr. Armstrong to be absolutely correct!

Sunday observance was initiated by Constantine, not a pope—but it was enforced by the Roman Catholic Church. According to The History of Roman Catholicism (1836), “The accession of Constantine the Great to the throne of the caesars and his subsequent conversion to Christianity, forms a most important era in the history of the church.”

It is important, as the writer points out, because this began the intimate relationship the Roman Empire developed with the Roman Church—a relationship that lasted for many centuries.

Constantine changed the official day of worship to Sunday during the Nicene Council of a.d. 325.

In a letter regarding the council, Constantine spoke of the enforcement of Sunday worship for Easter services: “At this meeting the question concerning the most holy day of Easter was discussed, and it was resolved by the united judgment of all present that this feast ought to be kept by all and in every place on one and the same day.”

This statement was directed at those who kept the Passover—one of God’s seven annual festivals commanded in Scripture—rather than Easter, and kept it several days before Easter.

“[F]irst of all, it appeared an unworthy thing that in the celebration of this most holy feast we should follow the practice of the Jews. … Let us then have nothing in common with the detestable Jewish crowd …. [I]t has been determined by the common judgment of all, that the most holy feast of Easter should be kept on one and the same day” (emphasis mine throughout).

In other words, Easter was to be kept on Sunday, and the “Jewish” Passover—which is actually God’s biblically commanded assembly—was expressly forbidden!

In another letter, specifically regarding Sabbath worship, Constantine wrote, “Forasmuch, then, as it is no longer possible to bear with your pernicious errors, we give warning by this present statute that none of you henceforth presume to assemble yourselves together. We have directed, accordingly, that you be deprived of all the houses in which you are accustomed to hold your assemblies: and our care in this respect extends so far as to forbid the holding of your superstitious and senseless meetings, not in public merely, but in any private house or place whatsoever. Let those of you, therefore, who are desirous of embracing the true and pure religion, take the far better course of entering the Catholic Church …. [F]rom this day forward none of your unlawful assemblies may presume to appear in any public or private place. Let this edict be made public.”

This was confirmed at the Council of Laodicea almost 40 years later in a.d. 363. At that conference, it was determined, “Christians must not Judaize by resting on the Sabbath, but must work on that day, rather honoring the Lord’s Day. … But if any shall be found to be Judaizers, let them be anathema [cursed and excommunicated] from Christ.”

There you have it: historical proof of the enforced observance of Sunday. To assemble together on any other day for a religious observance was unlawful.

... this will happen again, folks; WORLDWIDE. It will be called (in part); The Mark of the Beast.

Forced To Kill - Montana's Pro Murder Stance

Physicians in Montana could be facing "kill-on-demand" orders from patients who want to commit suicide if a district court judge's opinion pending before the state Supreme Court is affirmed.

The case has attracted nominal attention nationwide, but lawyers with the Christian Legal Service have filed a friend-of-the-court brief in the pending case because of what it would mean to doctors within the state, as well as the precedent it would set.

The concern is over the attack on doctors' ethics and religious beliefs – as well as the Hippocratic oath – that may be violated by a demand that they prescribe deadly chemicals or in some other way assist in a person's death.

M. Casey Mattox, a lawyer with the CLS, told WND that states allowing a "right to die" across the country – Oregon and Washington – include an opt-out provision for physicians with ethical or religious opposition to participating in killing a patient.

Montana's situation, created late last year in a decision from First District Court Judge Dorothy McCarter in the Baxter et al. v. Montana case, is different. There is no provision for a doctor to refuse such "treatment" for a patient.

In that case, Robert Baxter, 75, a retired truck driver from Billings who suffers from lymphocytic leukemia, filed the lawsuit along with four physicians in the state's district court system. They were aided in the case by the assisted suicide advocacy group Compassion & Choices, formerly known as the Hemlock Society.

Baxter told the organization's magazine that society already provides death when animals are suffering.

"I just feel if we can do it for animals," Baxter said, "we can do it for human beings."

The CLS, joined by the Christian Medical Association, yesterday filed briefs asking the state Supreme Court to protect the conscience rights of healthcare professionals.

... uh ... last time I checked animals and humans were different - Tiger

The groups, representing more than 18,000 Christian medical and legal professions, are urging the court to reverse the district court's decision and recognize a right not to participate in assisted suicide.

"The trial court's decision to create a constitutional right to 'obtain assistance from a medical care provider in the form of obtaining a prescription for lethal drugs' threatens the rights of healthcare professionals and institutions that hold sincere ethical, moral, and religious objections to participating in the intentional killing of their patients," Mattox said.

"Medical professionals should not be coerced to violate the Hippocratic Oath in order to practice in Montana," he said.

If a "right to die" is to be recognized, it should be developed from the people through the legislative process, not imposed by a single judge, the brief also argues.

The district decision, the groups also point out, would seriously undermine the relationship between doctors and patients. Patients could be uncomfortable knowing their doctor had provided a lethal dose to another patient, and doctors would have concerns about such demands from patients.

"At a time when states are experiencing a healthcare shortage, making Montana the only state in the union to coerce professionals to assist in suicides could jeopardize the state's healthcare system," Mattox said.

He told WND that the effort clearly is part of a nationwide agenda to impose and mandate ethical standards on Americans. Similar are the Obama administration's suggestions that that pharmacists may not have the right to refuse to dispense abortion-inducing medications, and doctors may not have a conscience right to refuse to do abortions, he said.

"I don't know where it's coming from, but there is certainly a push from government to tell people to set aside religious or ethical qualms and to abide by whatever the government tells you is appropriate," he said.

Mattox said the state still has several weeks to file its briefs in the Montana case, and then there will be further arguments on behalf of requiring doctors to provide terminal treatment.

"A mentally competent, terminally ill Montanan should have the right to choose a peaceful death, when confronted by death," Kathryn Tucker, Compassion & Choices director of legal affairs, told KTVQ-TV, Billings.

But Montana Assistant Attorney General Anthony Johnston disagrees.

Johnston told the television station, "The laws governing the medical profession say the medical profession is to heal, not to kill."

... Government once again inserting itself into an area that should be left to the families and individuals concerned. Why is it we don't recognize such a thing as evil? It's because we have failed to see the evil within ourselves first - I know this because I have seen evil within myself, and I didn't like it!
