The Republican Party Continues To Implode

Republicans Disinvite Palin to Major Fundraiser
Congressional Republicans Tuesday decided to ditch Sarah Palin in favor of Newt Gingrich for the critical House-Senate fundraising dinner in Washington June 8
Sarah Palin is out and Newt Gingrich is in. [His name is "Greengrich". Just ask Pelosi -Tiger]

Congressional Republicans decided Tuesday to ditch the former GOP vice presidential nominee in favor of the former House speaker for the critical House-Senate fundraising dinner in June 8 in Washington. It's the marquee Republican event to raise money for GOP House and Senate candidates.
Just weeks ago, the House and Senate Republican campaign committees were giddy at securing the telegenic Palin for the dinner. But then things grew murky.
At the time, the Alaska governor's office told FOX News that Palin was still considering the invitation and had not yet made a decision. Meantime, spokespersons for the committees insisted that Palin was scheduled and it was just a misunderstanding between the Alaska governor's office and Palin's political action committee, SarahPAC, that accepted the invite.
Sources familiar with the Palin snub fumed about how the governor handled this.
"She was a disaster," one Republican source told FOX News. "We had confirmation."

As for inviting Gingrich, National Republican Congressional Committee spokesman Ken Spain said the GOP "decided to go in another direction."

"Speaker Gingrich is a leader," Spain added. [I guess being Gov. of Alaska means you're not?-Tiger]

Another source familiar with the invitation indicated that the campaign committees were so incensed with Palin that they did not even bother to officially notify her that they rescinded the invitation.

Multiple efforts to reach Palin's staff in Alaska for comment were unsuccessful.

The decision to book Gingrich instead of Palin seems to be indicative of growing discontent in the party with the Alaska governor and her potential ability to lead the GOP. And it's the latest in a series of gaffes that have plagued her since the November.

Palin withdrew at the last moment from speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference meeting in Washington earlier this year.
... Rush, Ann, Sean ... Take note of Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin. Both have realized the Republican Party has no interest in supporting America, the Constitution, or anything of value left in the good 'ol USA. They (the Republicans) are an anathema, poisonous water, vermin. They cry and whine because they're not as anti-American as Democrats though they keep trying to be!

Separating The Light From The Dark

Anger Rising Over Obama Invitation - Obama Notre Dame Invite Stirs Catholic Debate

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- In American Catholicism, it doesn't get much bigger than Notre Dame. So when the university known for its golden dome, "Touchdown Jesus" mural and rigorous academics invited President Barack Obama to speak at its commencement and receive an honorary degree in May, it stoked both pride and anger on campus and nationwide.

By giving a platform to a politician whose record on abortion and stem cell research clashes with core church teachings about human life, the private Catholic school on the plains of northern Indiana renewed an impassioned debate about what it means to be Catholic.

The Notre Dame administration knew it was entering a political minefield. But the intensity of the reaction in the week since Obama accepted demonstrates the depths to which Catholics are divided about how Catholic individuals and institutions should engage politics in a pluralistic society.

I believe the Remnant Church is in the process of separating itself from the false church. The "Light" is separating itself from the "Darkness". This is simply another in a series of examples. [Tiger]

Department of Defense Directive Number 1404.10 - 23 January 2009

SUBJECT: DoD Civilian Expeditionary Workforce

References: See Enclosure 1

1. PURPOSE. This Directive:

a. Reissues DoD Directive (DoDD) 1404.10 (Reference (a)) under a new title to establish the policy through which an appropriately sized subset of the DoD civilian workforce is preidentified to be organized, trained, and equipped in a manner that facilitates the use of their capabilities for operational requirements. These requirements are typically away from the normal work locations of DoD civilians, or in situations where other civilians may be evacuated to assist military forces where the use of DoD civilians is appropriate. These employees shall be collectively known as the DoD Civilian Expeditionary Workforce. Members of the DoD Civilian Expeditionary Workforce shall be organized, trained, cleared, equipped, and ready to deploy in support of combat operations by the military; contingencies; emergency operations; humanitarian missions; disaster relief; restoration of order; drug interdiction; and stability operations of the Department of Defense in accordance with DoDD 3000.05 (Reference (b)).

b. Updates policies and responsibilities for the designation of part of the DoD Civilian Expeditionary Workforce using the existing category of Emergency-Essential (E-E) civilian employee positions, and establishes policies and responsibilities for the designation of part of the DoD Civilian Expeditionary Workforce using new categories of Non-Combat Essential (NCE) positions and Capability-Based Volunteers (CBVs) employees and former DoD employees. All four categories make up the newly designated DoD Civilian Expeditionary Workforce.

c. Supersedes any conflicting portions of other DoD issuances. Such instances shall be identified by the Heads of the DoD Components to the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness (USD(P&R)).

... read the entire directive ...

The U.S. Government has always produced rules and regulations concerning employment of civilian personnel for DoD purposes, however, the Obama administration has rewritten the directive to greatly increase the numbers and training of the civilian workforce to obtain political ends. Historians would call this sort of group "Brownshirts".

"YouTube" has a good collection of Obama's "brownshirt" concept.

Soldiers, Veterans, Peace Officers; Sign The Oath Today!

Among The Orders Active Duty Soldiers (And Others) Are Pledging NOT To Obey:

1. We will NOT obey any order to disarm the American people. … Any such order today would also be an act of war against the American people, and thus an act of treason. We will not make war on our own people, and we will not commit treason by obeying any such treasonous order.

2. We will NOT obey any order to conduct warrantless searches of the American people, their homes, vehicles, papers, or effects – such as warrantless house -to house searches for weapons or persons. … We expect that warrantless searches of homes and vehicles, under some pretext, will be the means used to attempt to disarm the people.

3. We will NOT obey any order to detain American citizens as "unlawful enemy combatants" or to subject them to trial by military tribunal. … Any attempt to apply the laws of war to American civilians, under any pretext, such as against domestic "militia" groups the government brands "domestic terrorists," is an act of war and an act of treason.

4. We will NOT obey orders to impose martial law or a "state of emergency" on a state, or to enter with force into a state, without the express consent and invitation of that state's legislature and governor. … It is the militia of a state and of the several states that the Constitution contemplates being used in any context, during any emergency within a state, not the standing army.

5. We will NOT obey orders to invade and subjugate any state that asserts its sovereignty and declares the national government to be in violation of the compact by which that state entered the Union.

6. We will NOT obey any order to blockade American cities, thus turning them into giant concentration camps. … Such tactics … by the Nazis in the
Warsaw Ghetto, and by the Imperial Japanese in Nanking, turn[ed] entire cities into death camps. Any such order to disarm and confine the people of an American city will be an act of war and thus an act of treason.

7. We will NOT obey any order to force American citizens into any form of detention camps under any pretext. … Such a vile order to forcibly intern Americans without charges or trial would be an act of war against the American people, and thus an act of treason, regardless of the pretext used.

8. We will NOT obey orders to assist or support the use of any foreign troops on U.S. soil against the American people to "keep the peace" or to "maintain control" during any emergency, or under any other pretext. We will consider such use of foreign troops against our people to be an invasion and an act of war.

9. We will NOT obey any orders to confiscate the property of the American people, including
food and other essential supplies, under any emergency pretext whatsoever.

10. We will NOT obey any orders which infringe on the right of the people to free speech, to peaceably assemble, and to petition their government for a redress of grievances.

"We will not make war against our own people. We will not commit treason. We will defend the Republic," the organization's website states. "And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually affirm our oath and pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor."

... This is a clarion call to all police officers, security personnel, Veterans and Active Duty Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines ...

Our Terrified and Paranoid Government

*
Have you bought a gun in the last few years?

* Did you purchase a video about the history of the Federal Reserve?

* Do you have a bumper sticker that says, "I'll Keep My Money, You Keep the Change"?

* Have you attended a "conservative" political meeting - a recent "tea party" perhaps?

* Are you reading a book about the Founding Fathers you bought at the local book store?

... then you may be on the government's Terrorist Watch List!

Tim Neal of Miller County was shocked recently when he heard a radio program about a strategic report compiled by state and federal law enforcement agencies to combat terrorism.

Titled “The Modern Militia Movement,” the report is dated Feb. 20 and designed to help police identify militia members or domestic terrorists. Red flags outlined in the document include political bumper stickers such as those for U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, talk of conspiracy theories such as the plan for a mega-highway from Canada to Mexico and possession of subversive literature.

But when Neal read the report, he couldn’t help but think it described him. A military veteran and a delegate to the 2008 Missouri Republican state convention, he didn’t appreciate being lumped in with groups like the Neo-Nazis.

“I was going down the list and thinking, ‘Check, that’s me,’ ” he said. “I’m a Ron Paul supporter, check. I talk about the North American union, check. I’ve got the ‘America: Freedom to Fascism’ video loaned out to somebody right now. So that means I’m a domestic terrorist? Because I’ve got a video about the Federal Reserve?”

Blogs and Web sites frequented by people interested in civil liberties issues have been overloaded in recent days with comments from angry readers who view the document as a precursor to an American KGB spying on U.S. citizens.

“The government is out of control, we are just trying to survive,” wrote one poster who identified himself as John Adams.

The Historic "Dont Tread On Me" Flag has become a Militant Militia symbol

... “If a police officer is pulling me over with my family in the car and he sees a bumper sticker on my vehicle that has been specifically identified as one that an extremist would have in their vehicle, the guy is probably going to be pretty apprehensive and not thinking in a rational manner,” Neal said. “And this guy’s walking up to my vehicle with a gun.”

Meet The Tin Man - Michael Steele

<--- Left : Steele Shown With His Favorite Donkey Dressed In A Fake Elephant Suit - The Head of the RNC ("Right? - Not A Chance") Says It's A Woman's "Right" To Choose An Abortion

A day after a magazine quoted him as saying abortion was "an individual choice," GOP Chairman Michael Steele may soon be toast.

A leading conservative called Steele's remarks in the magazine "cavalier and flippant," underscoring the new chairman's precarious position with party regulars concerned about his off-the-cuff style and penchant for miscues.

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee called the remarks "very troubling" and said in a blog posting, "despite his clarification today the party stands to lose many of its members and a great deal of its support in the trenches of grass-roots politics. For Chairman Steele to even infer that taking a life is totally left up to the individual is not only a reversal of Republican policy and principle, but it's a violation of the most basic of human rights -- the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."

Steele, who was adopted, told GQ magazine that his mother had the option of getting an abortion or giving birth to him.

"The choice issue cuts two ways," Steele said in the wide-ranging interview published online Wednesday. "You can choose life, or you can choose abortion. You know, my mother chose life."
Asked whether he thought women had the right to choose abortion, Steele said: "Yeah. I mean, again, I think that's an individual choice."

Foul Mouse! Disney 'drops F-bomb' over '9/11'Confrontation sparked by non-release of 'anti-Democrat' ABC miniseries

Did the head of the Walt Disney Company drop the F-bomb on one of its own investors at its annual shareholder meeting Tom Borelli, a self-proclaimed conservative activist, claims Disney CEO Robert Iger scowled at him and said, "F--- you" to his face yesterday, all because of an ongoing dispute over the company's failure to release the "Path to 9/11" miniseries on DVD.

"So much for the family-friendly Disney reputation," said Borelli, director of the National Center for Public Policy Research's Free Enterprise Project."The Path to 9/11" is the controversial miniseries aired in 2006 on ABC Television, the network owned by Disney, but it has never been released on video.

The story is based on the federal "9/11 Commission Report" that probed events leading up to the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.Borelli says it's because of political reasons, since the program depicts some Democrats in the Clinton administration in a less-than-flattering light. Disney reportedly thinks the DVD would not be a strong seller.

Wow! What A Perfect Juxtaposition!

The number of Americans who identify themselves as Christians has dropped significantly over the past 20 years — while 15 percent of U.S. residents now say they have “no” religion, a newly released survey reveals.

Researchers at Trinity College in Hartford, Conn., conducted surveys and 1990, 2001, and last year, and found that the percentage of Americans who say they are Christians fell from 86 percent in 1990 to 76 percent last year.

Americans who identify themselves as mainline Protestants, including Methodists and Lutherans, now comprise 13 percent of the population, down from 19 percent in 1990, while the number of people who describe themselves as generically “Protestant” fell from around 17 million two decades ago to 5 million last year.

The number of Americans who describe themselves as “nondenominational,” meanwhile, has soared from 194,000 in 1990 to more than 8 million in the new survey, which questioned more than 54,000 respondents, the Washington Post reported.

The only group that grew in every American state since 2001 is those who say they have “no” religion, up from 14.2 percent in 2001 to 15 percent last year.

The new survey also found that 44 percent of adult Christians in the U.S. say they are born again or evangelical, as do 18 percent of Catholics.

A nationally known pastor and author who predicts an imminent catastrophe of God's judgment on America is now telling concerned Christians it is time for peace and preparation, not panic.

"This is what I hear the Holy Spirit speaking to my heart concerning my own spiritual response to impending calamity," writes David Wilkerson, author of "The Cross and the Switchblade" and founder of a ministry to troubled New York street kids, on his blog today. "It is simply this: Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord."

... "An earth-shattering calamity is about to happen," he writes. "It is going to be so frightening, we are all going to tremble – even the godliest among us."

The Government Trend To Persecute Christians

The Illinois High School Association is being challenged on a policy that bans Christian schools from offering a prayer or any religious message over their public address systems when they host association events on their own property.

"It is blatantly unconstitutional for public school officials to come into private schools and enforce a policy prohibiting them from expressing what's central to their religious beliefs," said David Cortman, senior legal counsel for the Alliance Defense Fund, or ADF.

The ADF wrote this week to association chief Marty Hickman after several private schools complained about the new restrictions. WND left a message with Hickman seeking comment, but the call was not returned today.

"In enacting the policy, the IHSA was purportedly concerned that allowing private host schools to conduct customary pre-game prayers violated the First Amendment's Establishment Clause," the letter said.

But the ADF reassured the assocation that the prayers are constitutional.

"To underscore this point, ADF makes the following offer: should the IHSA choose to rescind its new policy and go back to its neutral stance regarding the messages broadcast by private host schools over their public address systems, and a lawsuit is subsequently filed against the IHSA alleging an Establishment Clause violation, ADF would be willing to defend the IHSA free of charge in that lawsuit," said Cortman's letter.

However, if the policy is not rescinded, there also could be complications, the letter said.

"There is a strong likelihood that the IHSA's new policy violates the First Amendment rights of private Christian schools that host IHSA state series events," the letter said. "For this reason alone, and to avoid potentially needless litigation and a subsequent award of attorneys' fees, the IHSA should immediately rescind its new policy and continue to allow private host schools to conduct events as they have for years," Cortman said.

The ADF said the IHSA reportedly got "a few complaints from people who didn't like the prayers and religious announcements at the private schools," then came up with the new rule that prohibits "all prayer or religious messages" – even at private and Christian schools.

New Study - Motorcycles Help Keep You Young

HT: Tigress

Riding motorcycles helps keep drivers young by invigorating their brains, the scientist behind popular "Brain Training" computer software said Wednesday, citing a new scientific study.

"The driver's brain gets activated by riding motorbikes" in part because it requires heightened alertness, Ryuta Kawashima said after his research team and Yamaha Motor conducted a string of experiments involving middle-aged men.

"In a convenient and easy environment, the human mind and body get used to setting the hurdle low," he warned. "Our final conclusion is that riding motorcycles can lead to smart ageing."

Kawashima is the designer of "Brain Training" software, which incorporates quizzes and other games and is available on the Nintendo DS game console under the name "Brain Age" in North America.

Jesus Loves Global Taxation?
By Mark D. Tooley

Activists at the World Social Forum (WSF), having gathered 130,000 anti-globalization activists to Belem, Brazil across 6 days early in February, enthusiastically decided that global taxation is the solution to the economic meltdown.

Meeting annually since 2001, the WSF rallies anti-capitalist crusaders from around the world, fancying itself as the anti-imperialist alternative to the World Economic Forum that meets concurrently in Davos, Switzerland. More specifically, it professes to be an “alter-globalization" movement that resists “exploitative economic globalization” and promotes “value-based forms of social and economic organization.”

Inevitably, the United Nations and the World Council of Churches (WCC) are heavily represented at WSF. Reporting about its role, the WCC enthused that its salivating activists see the economic downturn as a wonderful opportunity to “press for long-overdue, radical reforms.” Indeed, they are already mobilizing for the G20 summit in London in early April.

... Starting in the 1960’s, the WCC embraced Marxism in the form of Liberation Theology, even directly funding armed revolution through its infamous “Program to Combat Racism,” which helped to empower despots like Robert Mugabe in Zimbabwe. For the last 20 years, even the WCC has become a little demure about its open enthusiasm for socialism. Instead, it marches in lock-step with anti-globalization militants and intones against “neo-liberalism.” Events like the WSF allow the WCC and other global malcontents to grouse about the free market’s injustices. And the global meltdown allows the WCC more easily to regurgitate old themes of economic grievance.
