… if you haven’t read Part 1 …
So far, I have biblically established the Roman Beast of Daniel and Revelation and it’s involvement in End Time events. At the very least this makes the Roman Catholic Church, the Vatican, and especially the Papacy spiritually suspect in terms of it’s having a legitimate Christian role. It seems it’s role is Anti-Christian instead.
Now, please understand something. This does NOT make Catholics suspect! Individual Catholics are part of the Body of Christ and none have the right to say otherwise. Neither does this make all Priests suspect! I have met so many decent and good, spiritually true Priests in my day. This is not an attack on them either. As always, I’m discussing systems and organizations here. In fact, history is replete with stories of well-known, wonderful examples of Popes as well!
But given biblical prophecy, you cannot deny the Papacy’s link to the Anti-Christ. This raises a question. Would you think the religious/political Right in this country would be pro-Papacy, or not?
It turns out that, as a group, they are very much pro-Vatican, pro-Papacy, and in some regard Anti-Bible.
I’ll start with the The Catholic Campaign for America. It is advised, BTW, to always follow my links. It makes things much clearer. Founded in 1989 by Thomas V. Wykes, Jr. the CCA has the expressed purpose, according to the National Catholic Register, to "bring a politically powerful and distinctively Catholic voice to the U.S. political scene". A brochure for the First Annual National Convention (of the CCA) to be held in Washington, D.C., November 17, 18, 1995 also stated the following":
"The Catholic Campaign for America was founded in 1991 with the mission to activate Catholic citizens, increase the Catholic electorate's influence in formulating policy, and focus the public's attention on the richness and beauty of Catholic teaching. The National Convention is one more step on the road to achieving our mission. Our goal is to attract 1,500 Catholics from across America to join together in this unique Catholic experience."
and the brochure concludes;
"Catholic Americans are uniquely positioned to bring their influence to bear on society. We are the largest denomination in America. We believe it is time that we give a voice to countless Catholic Americans like you who yearn for a more moral America."
IOW, this organization was created to accomplish exactly what the Founding Fathers were worried about; the Catholicization of America and an overwhelming influence of the Papacy on American policy.
Here are just some of the names of support associated with the CCA:
Mary Cunningham Agee – Activist - The Nurturing Network
Richard V. Allen – Government - Reagan National Security Advisor
William Bennett – Government - Former Drug Czar
Michael Ferguson – Politician - Congressman from New Jersey, 2001-09
Thomas Monaghan – Business - Domino's Pizza founder, pro-life activist
Frank Shakespeare – Diplomat - US Ambassador to the Vatican, 1986-89
John Cardinal O'Connor - Archbishop of New York
Henry Hyde - U.S. House of Representatives
- quoted in 1995 saying: "the Catholic Campaign for America is long overdue. We now have 128 Catholics in the House and 21 in the Senate. If we had the Catholics behind us we would always carry the day."
Ralph Reed - executive director of the Christian Coalition of which Pat Robertson is the president, and certainly no Catholic stated in his speech at the CCA Conference:
“… sorrow for the "bigotry" expressed to Catholics in the past and to encourage the CCA to work with the Christian Coalition in the 1996 election.”
"I believe that the emerging alliance, the emerging partnership of Catholics and Evangelical Protestants, is going to be the most powerful force in the electorate in the 1990's and beyond-and anybody that ignores that alliance is going to make a big mistake.”
"We are at an historic time in our nation and in our relationship as Protestants and Catholics.”
"The change we are seeing in America is not just a political change. It is more deeply a spiritual shift that is shifting the plates of the American political landscape. And Catholics have been at the very center of that. According to exit polls taken after the 1994 election, for the first time in American history Roman Catholics, a majority of them-56 percent of church-attending Catholics and 51 percent of all Catholics-voted Republican in an off-year election.”
"And I believe that, just as the Evangelicals have become the base vote of the Republican party, Catholics are now today the swing vote in American politics. Any candidate who wins the Catholic vote will be able to govern America. No president has been elected since John F. Kennedy was elected president in 1960 without winning the Catholic vote. Richard Nixon won it in 1968 and 72, Jimmy Carter barely carried it in 1976, Ronald Reagan and George Bush carried it throughout the 80' s, and Bill Clinton carried a plurality-not a majority-but a plurality of the Catholic vote in 1992.”
“The Catholic vote holds the key to the future of America. And I believe that if they can unite-if Catholics can unite with the Evangelical Christians-the Protestants, who share their views on the sanctity of innocent human life, on the need for religious liberty and school choice and common sense values- “
“I believe if Catholics and Evangelicals can unite there is no person who runs for office in any city or any state in America that can't be elected and there is no bill that can't be passed in either house of Congress or any state legislative chamber anywhere in America. It is the emerging force in the electorate today.”
"And how historic that truly is, because I don't need to tell you that there was a time in American history when major political parties in the 19th century actually had anti-Catholic planks in their political platforms.”
[end quote]
So, Ralph Reed, one of the most important Protestants in America supports and defends what our Founding Fathers decried as anathema to America and what the Bible describes in this way:
Rev 13:3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast.
Rev 13:4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, "Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?"
Rev 13:5 And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months.
Rev 13:6 Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven.
Rev 13:7 It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation.
Rev 13:8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
Two other famous Protestants joining with Reed in this Roman endeavor are Charles Colson and Bill Bright with Campus Crusade for Christ.
Have you noticed the very public conversion to Catholicism of Newt Gingrich and his promotion of the Pope’s agenda? He knows which side his bread is buttered on!
I would recommend that you read this blog also. It’s a wonderful parallel to this study. It speaks to the official religion of the United States government.

To fight this organization is to proclaim oneself out of touch with the religious Right of America today. Just ask John Hagee.
As for myself, I most assuredly make this claim. I see the religious Right in this country becoming more and more dangerous, even though I will likely agree with some of the legislative changes they promote. I also realize others have already covered this subject but it CANNOT be ignored. To do so is to endanger your eternal life with God. I am very serious about this. Please trust this old sinner and take all this into account. As the Communist, Anti-God Left continues to pursue it's extreme agenda, as American society continues to decline into a Sodom and Gomorrah-like state, the political Right WILL eventually come to power! And as the pendulum swings back, they will over-react!
---------------------------------------
In ending, I would like to ask all Christians a question.
If you are a Protestant you must ask yourself this question:
Do you claim allegiance to an Image of the Beast – one of it’s supporters – one of it’s harlot daughters, - or not?
If you are a Catholic you must ask yourself:
Am I willing to deny the Pope is “the Holy Father” and only worship God ?
