Another Columnist - Border agent supervisors and others at the scene at the time say they were intimidated by the prosecution during the trial and forced to give testimony not totally accurate. Current threats by the border security administration include dismissal if any officers protest incarceration of Ramos and Compean by work slowdowns or not coming to work. “When the government fears the People, that is Liberty. It would devastate the Bush administration to have the agents walk out en masse. Apparently, that is not going to happen. Civil disobediance by the good guys would be a welcome change.

If an Army Deserter can get a mistrial, you would think these two guys would, after all that's been publicized about the case.
I don't think these two are "squeaky clean", but they deserve better.
