British spies concerned that Iran has "fed disinformation to the CIA" over nuke plans

Of course, it's disinformation that so many in the U.S. want so desperately to believe. "Iran 'hoodwinked' CIA over nuclear plans," by Tim Shipman, Philip Sherwell and Carolynne Wheeler in the Telegraph (thanks to LGF):

British spy chiefs have grave doubts that Iran has mothballed its nuclear weapons programme, as a US intelligence report claimed last week, and believe the CIA has been hoodwinked by Teheran.

The timing of the CIA report has also provoked fury in the British Government, where officials believe it has undermined efforts to impose tough new sanctions on Iran and made an Israeli attack on its nuclear facilities more likely.

The security services in London want concrete evidence to allay concerns that the Islamic state has fed disinformation to the CIA.

The report used new evidence - including human sources, wireless intercepts and evidence from an Iranian defector - to conclude that Teheran suspended the bomb-making side of its nuclear programme in 2003. But British intelligence is concerned that US spy chiefs were so determined to avoid giving President Bush a reason to go to war - as their reports on Saddam Hussein's weapons programmes did in Iraq - that they got it wrong this time.

A senior British official delivered a withering assessment of US intelligence-gathering abilities in the Middle East and revealed that British spies shared the concerns of Israeli defence chiefs that Iran was still pursuing nuclear weapons.

JERUSALEM – Israel has "incriminating" information Iran has continued its nuclear weapons program, a senior Israeli security official told WND, directly contradicting last week's U.S. intelligence report stating Tehran suspended its ambition in 2003.

"The Iranians continue their push for nuclear weapons in specific ways, including the acquisition and development of missiles," said the official who has access to classified Israeli defense material and intelligence reports on Iran.

"Iran hides its nuclear weapons program but it continues nonetheless," he said, indicating the U.S. estimate may have been "politically motivated."

The security official said Israel possesses "incriminating" information that Iran continues its purported drive to obtain nuclear weapons. Dear Mr. Tiger:
I was reading an update about the JFK assasination where Russia was able to feed lies to the United States to make Cuba the culprit as well as the mafia. I am not surprised about the Iran nuclear info, I just do not think it is accurate. How is it we are not able to get correct intelligence? I fear it is the tip of the iceberg as we get more and more incompetant, horribly uneducated people in high security jobs,as well as other high leadership positions. Just look at Cynthia McKiney running for president on the green party ticket.
I am at a teacher conference, surrounded by liberal teachers who their classes to preach wicca and transcendentalism. Just makes my blood pressure go up!

Hi Lady!

Our "intelligence" agencies were dismantled to a large degree by the Clinton administration (and other administrations). Some say it goes way back to after WW2 with the infiltration of Communists into our own government. (Yes, Sen. McCarthy was right! - and not a homosexual)

President Bush was warned repeatedly by low-lifes such as me and high-lifes also. He was advised to "clean house" within the government, to rid it of the anti-American elements within it. He ignored the advice, 911 hit us and the rest is incompetent history.

The people running for office and working in government aren't uneducated, IMO, they're "ideologues". It's just like Islam. If one believes fanatically enough in his or her "religion", they become creatures that are willing to destroy themselves and everyone else along with them.

I'm of the opinion that recognizing the obvious problems with our government and society awakens people. Other folks believe it simply points out the negative and is not constructive. Meanwhile we go deeper down the hole.

Remember “Pogo”, the comic strip? Pogo said, “We have seen the enemy and it is us!”. Pogo’s correct, the enemy IS our government. It needs to be dismantled. This is why the Founders always argued for small government. A Dem or Repug will not be the answer. I’m not sure what is the answer. I do know the Timothy McVeigh way is not the answer!

My guess is that our government will become less and less trustworthy and “incompetent” until it reaches a point where it must take harsh control over the population to maintain order, or, we just continue to capitulate to a “hidden” enemy, such as we’re doing with Islam, until they grab control. I think this will happen because the American people seek only entertainment, treasure, and self-gratification. They want the government – their very enemy – to handle the rest!

Here ya go, Lady. Here's a wonderful example!

The same thing is happening in America and FOXNEWS would rather report on Boobs and Butts!

My thinking at this point in time is that we'll go out with a wimper, not with a fight!

And yet, another wonderful example!

You see, the "War" is being fought every day with attacks everyday. People just don't recognize it!
