Rush Limbaugh Has Epiphany - Being A Political "Moinka" Is Not Enough!

Radio talk-show giant Rush Limbaugh is responding to criticism he's not doing enough for conservatives in America by asking, "What more do you people want?"

"I don't know what I can do," Limbaugh said during his nationally broadcast program today, "about Republicans who win elections and then go to Washington and act like wimps and wusses and refuse to stand up for themselves and refuse to govern on the very concepts they campaigned on, other than vote 'em out, other than get rid of 'em when they won't play the game according to the rules set by the aggressor – which in war you must."

Limbaugh addressed the subject after receiving a call from Barbara, a listener in Frontenac, Mo., who said the U.S. "is in serious trouble and that liberals are trying to destroy it."
She told Limbaugh conservatives were allowing liberals to succeed, and that's when she called on the host to do more for his cause.

"You have stated on air before that you, for one, have the power to effect political change in this country, and not through elective office," Barbara said. "I want to know when you are going to use that power you have and do something about our situation, other than what you are doing – which, although is valuable, is not going to stop the liberals."

... on more than one occasion, recently, I've tuned into Rush to hear him ranting and raving about intrusive big government, obfuscating politicians, and elected officials not listening to the people that elected them. In my mind he was talking about Republicans and I was pleased that Rush was finally holding some feet to the fire! Only after listening awhile did I realize that he was talking about Democrats; a no-brainer "duh" for most conservatives.

Rush... your problem is you're for Party only - not for Freedom! When the Repubs become as bad as Democrats (and they have) it's time to crank up the heat. You or Sean hannity are not doing that. Therefore, you're both becoming political "Monikas".

I sincerely hope this has been a true epiphany for you! ...

Rush Limbaugh is interested in Rush Limbaugh. He has no children and a net worth estimated to be in the billion dollar range with mayor real estate holdings in Florida.

Where is the West Palm Beach "Rush Limbaugh Rehab Center" for wounded US soldiers? The man talks and talks and talks...

For my taste, I am tired of all these bullshit artists, who did not serve when the had the chance, and are too stingy and self absorbed to step forward and tithe a percentage of their blessings received from others. There is no bigger phony on the planet.

Geez, as someone who listens to Rush daily, I have to disagree with both of you. Of course, he is conservative and give the Republicans more of a pass than he should, but he isn't a megaphone for the Republican party and as it goes wobbly on conservatism, you'll hear more and more criticism. As to what he gives, he is a major donor to the Marine Corp/Law Enforcement Foundation. He prefers to keep his philantrophy private.

It is so pleasant to agreeably disagree.

Lets just agree to disagree, Whit, and I'll leave the pleasantries to things more mundane and less serious.

"as it goes wobbly"?

If it hasn't gone wobbly so far then we have expansive differences in what each of us think a "conservative government" should be supporting, pressing, and taking action on.
I have catalogued Bush administration missteps within this blog for years now, so it is simply UNBELIEVABLE that anyone would say El Bush is a conservative and that Rush hasn’t supported him in his big government efforts. When and if a Democrat administration rises to prominence I will be here cataloguing their missteps as well.

Rush Limbaugh is a MAJOR figure in the conservative movement and is very good at describing conservative-political theory but he is obviously closing his eyes (and mind) concerning this administration. He and Hannity (Sean; perhaps to a lesser degree) have become facilitators of big government. Look at how we (you, myself, Sean, Rush) argued that Clinton should be impeached for perjury, and yet, both Rush and even Ann Coulter argue that Scooter Libby should not be punished for the same thing. As El Bush preaches that money trumps things, Rush preaches “Party” only and not honest truth!

I’ve got news for El Bush and Rush; honesty and freedom TRUMP money and Party!

People wonder why we can't seem to win wars. Quite simply, it is because we don't believe in the right things anymore.
