Here's The 'Special Interest' Reason Democrats Will Win - Democrats Party Of Rich, Study Finds

Democrats like to define themselves as the party of poor and middle-income Americans, but a new study says they now represent the majority of the nation's wealthiest congressional districts.

In a state-by-state, district-by-district comparison of wealth concentrations based on Internal Revenue Service income data, Michael Franc, vice president of government relations at the Heritage Foundation, found that the majority of the nation's wealthiest congressional jurisdictions were represented by Democrats.

... it also explains why Republicans have gone CapitaSocialist BIG TIME! ( Tiger )

He also found that more than half of the wealthiest households were concentrated in the 18 states where Democrats hold both Senate seats.

"If you take the wealthiest one-third of the 435 congressional districts, we found that the Democrats represent about 58 percent of those jurisdictions," Mr. Franc said.

A key measure of each district's wealth was the number of single-filer taxpayers earning more than $100,000 a year and married couples filing jointly who earn more than $200,000 annually, he said.

But in a broader measurement, the study also showed that of the 167 House districts where the median annual income was higher than the national median of $48,201, a slight majority, 84 districts, were represented by Democrats. Median means that half of all income earners make more than that level and half make less.

Mr. Franc's study also showed that contrary to the Democrats' tendency to define Republicans as the party of the rich, "the vast majority of unabashed conservative House members hail from profoundly middle-income districts."

"I just found the pattern across the board to be very interesting. That pattern shows the likelihood of electing a Democrat to the House is very closely correlated with how many wealthy households are in that district," Mr. Franc said in an interview with The Washington Times.

Cheney Denies NAFTA Superhighway, While Promoting It At The Same Time!

Despite evidence to the contrary, Vice President Dick Cheney says there is no "secret plan" to create a continent-crossing superhighway to help facilitate a merger of the United States, Mexico and Canada.

"The administration is not engaged in a secret plan to create a 'NAFTA super highway,'" asserts Cheney in a recent letter to a constituent, according to a copy of the message obtained by WND.

... but the D.O.T. says; "The Department of Transportation will continue to cooperate with the State transportation departments in the I-35 corridor as they upgrade this vital interstate highway to meet 21st century needs. However, these efforts are the routine activities of a Department that cooperates with all the state transportation departments to improve the Nation's intermodal transportation network."

... the D.O.T. created a website long ago called; North America's SuperCorridor Coalition, Inc., or NASCO. Here's an image from the original front page of the site. This image has been removed since it became a public issue to them.

Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif., a GOP presidential candidate, introduced an amendment to H.R. 3074, the Transportation Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 2008, prohibiting the use of federal funds for participating in working groups under the Security and Prosperity Partnership, including the creation of NAFTA Superhighways. This is quite an effort for something that doesn't exist, as Cheney claims!

On July 24, Hunter's amendment passed 362 to 63, with strong bipartisan support. Later, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 3074 by a margin of 268-153. The bill has been sent to the Senate with Hunter's amendment included. So far, no further action has been taken.

... while it's sensible to plan ahead for America's future trade requirements, it makes no sense to cover it up. Cheney is "technically" correct when he says there is no "secret plan", because it's been within the public view from day one! This is the base fact, so why try to hide it? The Bush administration has had so many problems with public communication it would be laughable if you weren't so busy crying! In addition to all this brouha is the realization that once this SuperCorridor is opened our government will NOT be able to control the influx of people and materials that may do us harm!

Selling "U.S." Down The Road

Or, Giving Our Enemies The Keys To The Gate - FROM THE INSIDE!

... two related articles; George Bush the Senior selling out the country with Bush Junior continuing the treason; also, the NAFTA Highway expands!

Cities and states across the country are selling off billions of dollars worth of strategic infrastructure – and often they are peddling these vital American assets to foreigners.

Local governments increasingly see the selling or leasing of infrastructure such as roads, bridges, ports, and airports as a quick and easy solution to their voracious budgetary appetites.

"Roads and bridges built by U.S. taxpayers are starting to be sold off, and so far foreign-owned companies are doing the buying," USA Today reported on July 15, 2006.

Homeland Security admits that 80 percent of our 3,200 port terminals nationwide are now operated by foreign companies and countries.

... meanwhile, the HAFTA Superhighway signed off by Oklahoma City Mayor; says highway goes all the way to Canada.

The endorsement by a major city mayor of a document described as "The Declaration of North American Integration" represents a long-term effort by local governments to bypass state and federal governments and work directly with Mexico and Canada to create agreements that integrate the continent below the radar screen, charges an activist.

Adam Rott, founder of watchdog blog Oklahoma Corridor Watch, brought to light the document signed by Mayor Mick Cornett.

The document was presented at the May 2004 summit meeting of the North American International Trade Corridor Partnership, or NAITCP. According to an Internet-archived summary report of the meeting, held in Kansas City, Mo., the document was signed by 90 people.

Rott told WND he created Oklahoma Corridor Watch because, "I saw the efforts in Texas by Internet blogs such as Texas Corridor Watch and Texas Toll Party to get the word out in Texas about the Trans-Texas Corridor. I wanted to warn Oklahoma about plans to extend the Trans-Texas Corridor along Interstate 35 north into our state."

The I-Bomb Is Coming, Many Cities Attacked Already!

Calling the new comprehensive immigration reform bill the "I Bomb," top talk-show host Michael Savage vowed to "derail this train of treason."
Said Savage in an e-mail to NewsMax.com our "Culture [is] being destroyed by greed, greed, greed.

"Bush is the chief culprit. He's wanted this from day one. In fact, we played a sound bite yesterday of him gleefully looking forward to the Democrat-controlled New Congress last Fall! At last he could push through his ultra-internationalist agenda."

The Slow, Steady March Towards One-World Government

President Bush signed an agreement creating a "permanent body" that commits the U.S. to "deeper transatlantic economic integration," without ratification by the Senate as a treaty or passage by Congress as a law.

The "Transatlantic Economic Integration" between the U.S. and the European Union was signed April 30 at the White House by Bush, German Chancellor Angela Merkel – the current president of the European Council – and European Commission President José Manuel Barroso.

The document acknowledges "the transatlantic economy remains at the forefront of globalization," arguing that the U.S. and the European Union "seek to strengthen transatlantic economic integration."
The Transatlantic Economic Council was tasked with creating regulatory convergence between the U.S. and the EU on some 40 different public policy areas, including intellectual property rights, developing security standards for international trade, getting U.S. GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Practices) recognized in Europe, developing innovation and technology in health industries, implementing RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technologies, developing a science-based plan on bio-based products and establishing a "regular dialogue" to address obstacles to investment.

At a joint press conference, Bush thanked the other two leaders for signing the "trans-Atlantic economic integration plan," commenting that, "It is a recognition that the closer that the United States and the EU become, the better off our people will be."

Barroso said the Transatlantic Economic Council is meant to be "a permanent body, with senior people on both sides of the Atlantic."

Is Johnny Sutton One Of America's Jack-booted Henchmen?

U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton, a longtime ally of President Bush, is being targeted by lawmakers and others across the country because of his successful prosecution of three U.S. Border Patrol agents and a deputy sheriff on charges of violating the civil rights of illegal aliens.

One congressman accused Mr. Sutton of being "on the wrong side of the border war"; another called the prosecutions "the worst betrayal of American defenders I have ever seen"; one said the cases were a "grotesque misdirection of our judicial system"; and another introduced a bill, now co-sponsored by 90 House members, calling for congressional pardons.

National Border Patrol Council President T.J. Bonner, whose organization represents the agency's 10,000 nonsupervisory personnel, said Mr. Sutton "violated the public's trust, and must be removed from office immediately." Rep. F. James Sensenbrenner Jr., Wisconsin Republican and member of the House Judiciary Committee, suggested hearings on the matter and has asked the Justice Department to review the Ramos-Compean case. Sen. Dianne Feinstein, California Democrat, has asked for a Senate hearing, saying, "The facts do not add up or justify the length of the sentences for these agents, let alone their conviction on multiple counts."

And Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, California Republican, took to the House floor in February to denounce Mr. Sutton as a "dishonest and overzealous prosecutor who has lied to us about this case."

... Glenn Beck has called Ramos, Compean and Hernandez America's first POLITICAL PRISONERS! Is he correct? And, will Dog The Bounty Hunter become the fourth?

The Price of Appeasement - Kissing Oily Rear Ends

Lt. Col. Oliver North Tells It Honestly

No Western leader — not Tony Blair, not George Bush, certainly none of the leaders of “Old Europe,” and surely no one at the United Nations — dares risk the wrath of the ayatollahs and the possibility that Iran might shut off 20 percent of the world’s oil. Just the chance that the most recent “hostage crisis” might worsen pushed the price of oil over $66 per barrel — a 7 percent rise — in less than a week.

If ayatollahs laugh, the tin-horned theo-despots ruling Tehran must be chortling in their beards. For nearly two weeks, the Islamic radicals running the world’s pre-imminent terrorist state once again had leaders of the civilized world cowering and cutting back-room deals. But the clerics are confident there will be no consequences — all because of oil.

Other than terrorism, Iran has no ability to project power — yet. Its air force is hardly worthy of the name. The U.S. has the capacity, in the words of one senior retired military officer, now a Pentagon consultant, “to eliminate the entire Iranian Navy in less than an hour.”

... no courage, no conviction, a PC unwillingness to fight the needed battles ... when will an American be elected President?

Milking It For All It's Worth - A Classic Case Of Conflict Of Interest

Criminal Behavior perhaps!

As reported in Metroactive, an online report from the Silicon Valley, Feinstein's resignation followed six years of subcommittee work during which time her alleged conflict of interest stemmed from her husband Richard C. Blum's ownership of Perini Corp. and URS Corp.

... question: should Congress just be dismissed? We need to get rid of all of them and start over.

Unwilling To Fight

Doug over at the Elephant Bar made this comment:
Doug has hit the nail on the head once again. This President is a non-fighter. He is timid and weak. Just yesterday he gave us another example:
Mr. Bush pulled the nomination of businessman Sam Fox, who helped raise $200,000 for the president's re-election campaign, as ambassador to Belgium hours before a Senate committee vote. But the White House move came weeks after Mr. Fox's $50,000 donation to the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth was disclosed by Democrats on the Foreign Relations Committee.
... Mr. President, don't you know an individual is allowed to express their political leanings? Mr. Fox did NOTHING wrong, except; align himself with such a PC LIBERAL as you. Just ask Mr. Bolton. Take Ann Coulter's suggestion; STOP BEING SO DAMN SORRY FOR EVERYTHING!

Remember That Non-Existent North American Union? Idaho And Other States Want Out!

Lawmakers in Idaho have approved a "joint memorial" that urges the U.S. Congress to use "all efforts, energies and diligence" to get the United States out of the Security and Prosperity Partnership, a multinational plan that opponents believe is being used to blend the U.S., Mexico and Canada.

The "memorial," which is similar to a resolution, was written and adopted "to send the message to the Congress of the United States … that the First Regular Session of the Fifty-ninth Idaho Legislature … that the Congress of the United States, and particularly the congressional delegation representing the State of Idaho, are hereby urged and petitioned to use all of their efforts to withdraw the United States from any further participation in the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America and any other bilateral or multilateral activity which seeks to advance, authorize, fund or in any way promote the creation of any structure to accomplish any form of North American Union."

Other states where proposals are pending are Arizona (S.C.M. 1002), Illinois (H.J.R. 29), Georgia (S.R. 124), Missouri (S.C.R. 15 and H.C.R. 33), Montana (H.J.R. 25), Oklahoma (S.C.R. 10), Oregon (S.J.M. 5), South Carolina (S. 416 and H. 3185), South Dakota (S.C.R. 7), Tennessee (S.J.R. 88), Virginia (S.J.R. 442 and S.J.R. 387), and Washington (H.J.M. 4018 and S.J.M. 8004).

... again; if we need this for our economic future, why tell lies about its existence?

If You Thought The North American Union Wasn't Real - Think Again!

Department of Homeland Security responsible for executing the security agenda of the SPP!

A memo signed by Department of Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff implements a controversial program condemned by critics as a precursor to a European Union-style partnership with Mexico and Canada.

The document shows the Security and Prosperity Partnership, or SPP, is being directed at the highest level of the Bush administration, says the public interest group Judicial Watch, which obtained it and other documents through a Freedom of Information Act request.

The Sept. 22, 2005, memo describes the agencies within the Department of Homeland Security responsible for executing the security agenda of the SPP.

"These new records prove the Security and Prosperity Partnership is being directed by officials at the very highest levels of the United States government," said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. Fitton said Americans "should know that the SPP is a core policy initiative for many agencies in our government, including the Department of Homeland Security."

... if Bush is going to do this why lie and say it's not happeneing?

Remember The NAU And The NAFTA Highway? Trial Run Set To Begin

What Your Government Says Didn't Exist Already Set To Begin

... Ha! The Liberal Unions are being replaced by Mexicans! What's good for the Goose is ....

[A] DOT spokesman also affirmed to WND the FMCSA has now drafted regulations that the DOT Inspector General has accepted, after an audit of the enforcement mechanisms and regulations the FMCSA created.
The Teamsters Union posed to WND a series of "unanswered questions," including:

-Will the drivers be checked against the terror watch list, or will our borders be open to anyone with a Mexican driver's license?
-Will the drivers be required to carry a Mexican passport as U.S. citizens are required to present their passports when entering the country from Mexico?
-Will all U.S. standards be applied to Mexican drivers, including the requirement that U.S. drivers undergo regular physicals and meet minimum age requirements?
-Will Mexican truck drivers participating in the pilot program be required to undergo drug and alcohol testing in U.S. labs? Who will oversee the collection of random samples for drug and alcohol testing of the Mexican drivers while they are in the U.S.?
-Will U.S. wage and hour laws be enforced for Mexican drivers during the pilot program? How will DOT enforce hours of service rules and prevent false log books and fatigued drivers from entering the U.S.?
-How can DOT assure the U.S. public that all trucks will be inspected by U.S. officials in Mexico and at the U.S. border when fewer that 10 percent of all Mexican trucks entering the commercial zone are inspected today?
