A Strong Prescription; A bitter pill
He has strong opinions on Muslim attacks on Christians, countering Islam through zero immigration and profiling, FISA and constitutional rights, politically correct elites.

Some Answers Please
Good. What better time for CAIR and other Muslim leaders to step up, cut through the politically correct fog and provide factual answers to the questions that give so many non-Muslims pause? So far, when it comes to interpretations of the Koran and the Hadiths, I've learned that every expert seems to have a different interpretation. Unfortunately, it doesn't take many Salafists or Wahhabists to make a lot of trouble.
Generally speaking, those questions focus on whether the Quran does indeed promote violence against non-Muslims, and how many of the terrorists' ideas — about the violent jihad, the self-immolation, the kidnappings, even the beheadings — come right out of the text? But even more specifically:
Is Islam the only religion with a doctrine, theology and legal system that mandates warfare against unbelievers?
Is it true that 26 chapters of the Quran deal with jihad, a fight able-bodied believers are obligated to join (Surah 2:216), and that the text orders Muslims to "instill terror into the hearts of the unbeliever" and to "smite above their necks" (8:12)?
Is the "test" of loyalty to Allah not good acts or faith in general, but martyrdom that results from fighting unbelievers (47:4) — the only assurance of salvation in Islam (4:74; 9:111)?
Are the sins of any Muslim who becomes a martyr forgiven by the very act of being slain while slaying the unbelievers (4:96)?
And is it really true that martyrs are rewarded with virgins, among other carnal delights, in Paradise (38:51, 55:56; 55:76; 56:22)?
Are those unable to do jihad — such as women or the elderly — required to give "asylum and aid" to those who do fight unbelievers in the cause of Allah (8:74)?
Does Islam advocate expansion by force? And is the final command of jihad, as revealed to Muhammad in the Quran, to conquer the world in the name of Islam (9:29)?
Is Islam the only religion that does not teach the Golden Rule (48:29)? Does the Quran instead teach violence and hatred against non-Muslims, specifically Jews and Christians (5:50)?
There are other questions, but these should do for a start. If the answers are "yes," then at least Americans will know there's no such thing as moderate Islam, even as they trust that there are moderate Muslims who do not act out on its violent commands.
It's The Lying I Can't Stand
I grew up in rural Gadsden County in Florida. At age 5 I started work in the Tobacco fields "toting" and later progressed to "priming". Those of you who have done this kind of work know how rough it is. I also worked the vegetable fields. Having worked since age 5 earns you money but you also have to deal with health problems later in life. These talking heads that come on television supporting illegal immigration don't realize how many Americans have done this sort of work.
They lie. They say that we don't have Americans that will do this. Read the "Title Link" and you'll see that the unemployment rate is not really what you think!

Yo Queiro Taco Bell - But Not Unrelenting Immigration
"My forebodings of a year ago seem to be taking on my reality every day: Immigration truly is emerging as an issue that can shatter the Republican party. The president is determined to thrust upon the party an amnesty/guestworker approach that is opposed by the overwhelming majority of the Republican rank-and-file. He has come to believe - and tells visitors to the White House - that party opposition to him is based on irrational fear, ignorance, and prejudice. (Just like Dubai! Or for that matter, Harriet Miers.)
If anything were calculated to solidify the perception that this administration scorns the values and concerns of the ordinary Republican - if anything were designed to discourage ordinary Republican from turning out in November 2006 - it is what this administration is doing now. At a moment when the president needs his maximum strength to see his foreign policy through to success, he is gambling everything on a wager he cannot win. His version of immigration reform can only pass Congress with Democratic votes, and there is zero possibiilty that the Democrats will help him - but every likelihood that they will egg him on to incite a Republican civil war on the issue that most bitterly divides the president's party."

Remembering Terri ...
We're coming up on the anniversary of Terri Shiavo's KILLING. To mark this occasion our local talk radio guy, Pat Campbell talked with Tim Rucksi (spelling?) of, BlogsforTerri.com, this Monday morning. Pat can be found at: http://www.540wfla.com/main.html .
Tim spoke of many things, including the fact that when Michael Schiavo remarried, he was actually allowed to be remarried in the local Catholic Church! So much for the local Bishop! That part of Florida has always been strange, full of LIBERALS and people who can't use a voting machine.
Another Catholic; a real one, who has much to say and says it with eloquence, is Fr. Frank Pavone. He has an open letter to Michael on BlogsforTerri.com. It's a good read.

Charges Against Afghan Christian Dropped
KABUL, Afghanistan - An Afghan court on Sunday dismissed a case against a man who converted from Islam to Christianity because of a lack of evidence and he will be released soon, officials said.
Something tells me nothing will be resolved.
Falling Away
In the grand scheme of things, the recent resignation of Harvard's president, Lawrence Summers, was a small episode. But its implications are large and reach beyond Harvard -- and well beyond the academic world.
David Riesman said we live in the cathedrals of learning without the faith that built those cathedrals. We also live in a free society without the faith that built that society -- and without the conviction and dedication needed to sustain it.
The faith came first. Centuries ago, farmers and others scattered throughout New England made whatever small contributions they could, whether in money or in produce, to help build a little college in Cambridge, Mass.
We need only look to Europe and Canada to see our future.

Afghan Clerics demand Christian man's life
KABUL, Afghanistan - Senior Muslim clerics demanded Thursday that an Afghan man on trial for converting from Islam to Christianity be executed, warning that if the government caves in to Western pressure and frees him, they will incite people to "pull him into pieces."Islam, the religion of Peace.
"Rejecting Islam is insulting God. We will not allow God to be humiliated. This man must die," said cleric Abdul Raoulf, who is considered a moderate and was jailed three times for opposing the Taliban before the hard-line regime was ousted in 2001.A moderate?
But three Sunni preachers and a Shiite one interviewed by The Associated Press in four of Kabul's most popular mosques said they do not believe Rahman is insane. What a nice little ecumenical group.
"He is not crazy. He went in front of the media and confessed to being a Christian," said Hamidullah, chief cleric at Haji Yacob Mosque.
"The government is scared of the international community. But the people will kill him if he is freed."
Raoulf, who is a member of the country's main Islamic organization, the Afghan Ulama Council, agreed. "The government is playing games. The people will not be fooled."
"Cut off his head!" he exclaimed, sitting in a courtyard outside Herati Mosque. "We will call on the people to pull him into pieces so there's nothing left."
This does not sit well with me. If that's the way it's going to be, then screw 'em, let's get on with the crusades.

Fred Barnes FINALLY Gets A Good Idea!
Now, he makes a serious and sensible suggestion; replace Donald Rumsfeld with Dick Cheney, move "Rummy" to the Chief of Staff position, and make Condi Vice-President.
Cheney would make a much better Sec. of Defense (he was one before), besides he knows how to fire a gun! - just kidding!
Rummy would be placed in a position he knows, not one he doesn't.
...and, Condi would get away from that "mush-for-brains" group, the State Department.
I think Fred's worried about November...and he's right!
NATO Troops To Take over Duties in Southern Afghanistan
I wanted to call in and speak to the General to ask him his thoughts about the long term strategic and tactical benefits of NATO troops serving in Afghanistan. Like Diane Rehm, I think there are reasons why NATO is sending additional troops.

Oh Please let it Happen!
WASHINGTON -- Democratic insiders take seriously a possible new try for the presidency by Al Gore and say he is capable of raising more money than the presumptive front-runner, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Clinton's team has attempted to foreclose conventional Democratic money sources, drying up funding for her potential presidential rivals. She has $17.1 million cash on hand, more than any other possible candidate. Her current fund-raising tour is aimed at an additional $40 million.
However, party operatives believe former Vice President Gore can outdo Clinton through unconventional fund-raising on the Internet. By campaigning left of Clinton, Gore appeals to ardent anti-war Democrats. Gore's first presidential run in 1988 positioned him as the centrist candidate, to the right of eventual nominee Michael Dukakis.
I would LOVE to see Al Gore in the 2008 race.
Food for Thought
But how could this explain the male and female of a species? I can't bring myself to believe that the immense diversity we see in nature with the male and female of each species "just happened." How could a species survive long enough to evolve propagating characteristics of male and female sexes?
How could man be so stupid? As Malcolm Muggeridge said, "We are educating ourselves into imbecility."

European Double Standards
But I wonder: Are we going to look to the European practice of trying war criminals? Should Saddam be transferred to Milosevic's now empty cell? Is the model coalition in Afghanistan all that much more loved or effective than the one in Iraq? Should we shut down Guantanamo and outsource its inmates to The Hague? Have the European police done so much better in hunting down a Mladic or Karadzic than our soldiers have in their more muscular hunt for Osama? And will the United Nations, the EU3, the Russians, and the Chinese, in multilateral fashion, really stop the Iranian nuclear program — or simply stall meaningful action until they can collectively shrug, and sigh, "Oh, well, just another Pakistan, after all"?
He has said lately that if the Europeans don't like us, we should pack up our military bases and go where we are appreciated.
I wholeheartedly agree.

COUNTER-ATTACK!
A wonderful thing has happened in America and the MSM will probably report it incorrectly. A definite counter-attack has been accomplished without planning, organization, or marching orders. The American people have once again taken hold of their country and wrestled it away from the power grabbing Executive branch and Congress! The Dubai Ports deal is officially dead!

North Waziristan - Gateway to Hell
The BBC reported that just prior to President Bush's visit to Pakistan, Pervez Musharraf launched an offensive against the fundamentalists in North Waziristan but the reporter was unable to verify a Pakistani government's spokesman statements aasessment that the Pakistanis had inflicted heavy casulties on the tribesmen. Bill Roggio reports that, to impress President Bush, the Pakistanis stirred up a hornet's nest and came away embarassed after the Taliban pounded them and killed a US Diplomat in reprisal.
The BBC describes how Pakistan had mishandled the area, appeasing the fundamentalists and setting the stage for a major offensive in the GWOT.
Afghanistan has been complaining about the incursions from the Pakistani tribal areas, President Bush took those complaints to Musharraf and asked him to do something about it. The BBC reported that Pakistan is blaming the Afghanis for not controlling their side of the border.
Der Speigel's headline reads "Bush Brings Roses for India, Thorns for Pakistan." I think the President worried about the stability of Afghanistan and the security of nukes in Pakistan, had a serious sit-down with Musharraf and laid out the facts. I look for a big, two-front offensive against the tribal lands in North Waziristan.

A Berserker or Terrorist?
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — A recent University of North Carolina graduate was charged with nine counts of attempted murder Saturday, a day after authorities say he drove through a popular campus gathering spot in an attempt to avenge Muslim deaths.
Derek Poarch, chief of the university police department, confirmed Saturday that Mohammed Reza Taheri-azar, a 22-year-old Iran native, told investigators he wanted to "avenge the deaths or murders of Muslims around the world." Poarch would not provide any other details on the motive.
Taheri-azar also is charged with nine counts of assault.

Think It Will Never Happen in the U.S.? - It Already Has!
An associate once told me that "private law-abiding citizens" would never, ever be in danger from the government. In the wake of Katrina, the "private law-abiding citizens" of New Orleans were left alone, unprotected, and frightened by their government. Why? ...
"With looters, rapists and other thugs running rampant in New Orleans, Ray Nagin issued an order to disarm all law-abiding citizens"

The Basic Question - Can Islam Live with Freedom?
But, what happens when the religious paradigm of a "people" teaches that Liberty is evil? ...
“…the individual was not expected to exercise any free choice as to how he wished to be governed…In general, …governmental authority admitted of no participation of the individual as such, who therefore did not possess any real freedom vis-Ã -vis it.”
BTW - This is the best academic explanation of WHY ISLAM IS INCOMPATIBLE WITH FREEDOM I"VE EVER READ! Notice, I didn't say, "why Arabs are incompatible" - Tiger

More Dubious Dubai ...
Dubai Ports Firm Supports Israel Boycott
The parent company of a Dubai-based firm at the center of a political storm in the United States over the purchase of American ports participates in the Arab boycott against Israel, the Jerusalem Post reports. The firm, Dubai Ports World, is seeking control over six major U.S. ports, including those in New York, Miami, Philadelphia and Baltimore. It is entirely owned by the Government of Dubai via a holding company called the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation (PCZC), which consists of the Dubai Port Authority, the Dubai Customs Department and the Jebel Ali Free Zone Area.
"Yes, of course the boycott is still in place and is still enforced," Muhammad Rashid a-Din, a staff member of the Dubai Customs Department's Office for the Boycott of Israel, told the Post in a telephone interview.
"If a product contained even some components that were made in Israel, and you wanted to import it to Dubai, it would be a problem," he said.
A-Din noted that while the head office for the anti-Israel boycott sits in Damascus, he and his fellow staff members are paid employees of the Dubai Customs Department, which is a division of the PCZC, the same Dubai government-owned entity that runs Dubai Ports World.
Moreover, the Post found that the Web site for Dubai's Jebel Ali Free Zone Area, which is also part of the PCZC, advises importers that they will need to comply with the terms of the boycott.
In a section titled "Frequently Asked Questions", the site lists six documents that are required in order to clear an item through the Dubai Customs Department. One of them, called a "Certificate of Origin," "is used by customs to confirm the country of origin and needs to be seen by the office which ensures any trade boycotts are enforced," according to the website.
A-Din of the Israel boycott office confirmed that his office examines certificates of origin as a means of verifying whether a product originated in the Jewish state.
On at least three separate occasions last year, the Post said, companies were fined by the U.S. government's Office of Anti-boycott Compliance, an arm of the Commerce Department, on charges connected to boycott-related requests they had received from the Government of Dubai.
U.S. law bars firms from complying with such requests or cooperating with attempts by Arab governments to boycott Israel.
