Weird Episcopalian News

From the Seattle Times: (hattip Teresita at the EB)

"I am both Muslim and Christian"

By Janet I. Tu
Seattle Times religion reporter

Shortly after noon on Fridays, the Rev. Ann Holmes Redding ties on a black headscarf, preparing to pray with her Muslim group on First Hill.

On Sunday mornings, Redding puts on the white collar of an Episcopal priest.

She does both, she says, because she's Christian and Muslim.

Redding, who until recently was director of faith formation at St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral, has been a priest for more than 20 years. Now she's ready to tell people that, for the last 15 months, she's also been a Muslim — drawn to the faith after an introduction to Islamic prayers left her profoundly moved.

Her announcement has provoked surprise and bewilderment in many, raising an obvious question: How can someone be both a Christian and a Muslim?
This "takes the cake." Can you spell apostate?

This is a strange one. About as strange as the Vatican issuing a 10 Commandments for Road Rage.

The Episcopal church has gone completely mad. It's trying to generate an atmosphere of world peace by capitulating to evil in every way it can think of. The Catholic church is doing the same thing but to a lesser extent. I predict we will hear about Catholic churches becoming as weird as Episcopal ones in future.

You nailed it, friend, APOSTATE IS EXACTLY RIGHT!

- thanks, Teresita!

Pretty soon, if not already, the Episcopalians believing in anything, will believe in nothing. The apostacy, if it weren't so sad to watch, would be comical. It all starts with the Bible. Disavow the truth of the Bible and after that, anything goes. Now, they can just make it up as they go along.

"How convenient."

Not under Pope Benny XVI, unless you find the teaching that pedophile priests are "filth", and that hell is a literal lake of fire, to be weird. In the context of these times, perhaps it is.

"T"

Pope Benny has already shown much weakness in his "relations" with Muslims.

Here's his web site

Around here, some Catholic churches are traditional while some are about as loopy radical leftist as they come. The Vatican is not the "whole" of the church, it's the governmental body if anything else. Of course, coming from a Protestant like me ... : )

Dear Mr. Tiger:
How sad this woman is unconscious of the fact that she is a member of two nonbelieving sects. Neither the Episcopalians nor muslims follow God. As Mr. Whit says, one must start with the Bible.
This woman is following evil. God grant her the serenity...

Well said, Lady!
