Bird Flu could kill 50,000 to 750,000 in Britain

In a BBC interview, The Chief British Medical Officer, Sir Liam Donaldson said that if the Bird Flu mutates so that it can be spread from human to human, 50,000 people could be killed in the UK. He also said that if the flu strikes before a vaccine is developed, another 50,000 would probably die but 750,000 deaths was "not impossible."

The CIA Factbook shows a UK population of 60.44 m.
