Mr. President, I know you're busy right now - but could you do something about the Anti-Christian U.S. Navy?

... punished for uttering those two nasty, disrespectful words; "Jesus Christ" ...

I prefer to keep my powder dry and wait on this one. Something about it just doesn't seem right to me. This guy could be a mal-content who got busted for other reasons and is raising hell in the courts. We'll have to see how this on shakes out.

I understand what you're saying but I've followed this for a long time now. The Chaplain has never been implicated as a mal-content or troublemaker. It appears that he's a problem for the Navy because he participates in public "political demonstrations", the Judge Roy Moore Washington D.C. meeting, for example, and is therefore an embarrassment to his superiors and the Navy. By law and by historical pretext a military Chaplain is allowed to do this sort of thing.

A quote from the article:

"Another six dozen chaplains also have joined together in a civilian lawsuit that alleges the Navy hierarchy allows only those Christian ministers who advocate only non-sectarian blandishments to be promoted. Those with evangelical beliefs, they say, are routinely drummed from the Navy. "

Even back in the seventies the Navy was known for it's progressive anti-religious stance. I think they've gotten worse.

I was in Panama for a month attending the Jungle School that used to be there, before we gave it to the Chinese. It was a small camp run by the Navy, for the most part, with Army instructors. The Navy personnel were told to stay away from the Army guys. The Navy guys were undisciplined and thought we were nuts. We saw them as hippies in uniform, dope smoking and undisciplined. I have no problems believing the Navy "has it out" for an evangelical Chaplain.

Another couple of thoughts…

The Chaplain has not been officially charged with anything that would be cause for punishment of any form. Another quote:

"Monday, his lawyer will argue in the hearing at Naval Station Norfolk, Va., that his commander's order that he not wear his uniform and speak of Jesus was illegal, that his prosecutors and judges so far, in fact, have been the same people, and the Navy has refused to document evidence in the case."

If the Navy has additional charges it has refused to acknowledge them. This is illegal, assuming additional charges are going to be levied. A defendant, even in the military, has legal access to ALL the charges brought against him. Therefore the real "charge" here is direct disobedience of a verbal order; being ordered not to speak or utter certain things at certain venues, not as a matter of divulging military/state secrets but as a matter of political correctness.

People always wonder how a military or government organization can become so secretive and abusive, as in the old U.S.S.R. The answer is POLITICAL CORRECTNESS, aka FASCISM. When someone; even a military officer, utters an opinion (not insubordination) and the state attempts to punish him for that, or label him a malcontent, it's called FASCISM. Another quote:

"The case falls under the "whistleblower" framework because the restrictions were imposed only on Klingenschmitt shortly after he had contacted Congress and the president about the issues."

Troublemakers generally don't contact the President and Congress, knowing they're in the wrong, because the punishment will be even more severe. Something’s wrong here - and it's probably with the Navy!

It’s like the War On Terror, Whit. Some people understand that it’s serious and others don’t. P.C. is DEADLY SERIOUS and INCREDIBLY EVIL.
